Yesterday we were at John Rocha, who made a strong emphasis on texture, with tinseled yarns, sheer silks and lambskins; which would make a comfortable and yet stylish dress for the Autumn/Winter.
Rocha had a combined runway, with a mixture on menswear and womenswear. The All Walks team liked that the womenswear included dropped shoulders - to play with proportion on the woman’s figure creating a flattering shape for more sizes - and the heavily worked pieces where garments that could be seen on a range of ages and sizes once this comes into the shops.

Horrible. Why do designers think they need outlandish styles every year. I saw maybe three outfits out of that whole group that a normal person would wear. Their hair is awful and so are many of the shoes. Every time I watch these shows I wonder who is wearing this stuff, that these designers get so much credit. I know I don’t wear it. My friends don’t. I don’t see it on people shown in the news or even on celebrities. Even the designers themselves are usually dressed in very simple, comfortable but stylish outfits. Even they don’t wear their own clothes. I understand many new styles seen in stores Do come from imitation of these designers but I still don’t see the purpose in designing a line very few people would wear.
