Curvaceous brunette bombshell Daisy Lowe wants to see more diverse beauty in fashion imagery. In an interview with ASOS Magazine, Daisy said, “My dream is to see a lot more female shapes in ad campaigns when I look through magazines.” The team here at All Walks couldn’t agree more Daisy! As we’ve shown in our high fashion campaign ‘SNAPPED’, which showcases diverse models of all shapes, sizes, ages and ethnicities in creations by top British designers, fashion is just as aspirational and magazine-editorial-worthy on a more diverse range of models.
Daisy says that “It’s slightly moving that way,” but notes that “Karl Lagerfeld said he was going to embrace (Crystal Renn’s) womanly shape and then he just puts her face on the ad campaign.”
We wholeheartedly agree with Daisy that “the female body is a beautiful thing” and we believe that it should be celebrated by the fashion industry as a form of embracing individuality. Daisy goes on to say, “I’ve learnt a lot from modelling … it’s taught me to be bold and be true to myself in a massive way.”
Daisy looks stunning and confident in her beautiful body shape. If you would like to see our campaign ‘SNAPPED’, shot by Rankin, come to our exhibition this Friday 11th Feb, 6-10pm, for one night only at the National Portrait Gallery.
