From Scotland with Love

After experiencing the hustle and bustle of London Fashion Week ,which was an overwhelming experience for me coming from the hills of Scotland, where life doesn’t seem quite as glamorous. The fashion Industry in Scotland is worlds apart from the style scene I witnessed in the streets of London. Walking down Oxford Street, it is apparent there is a different style vibe as people seem to be more comfortable with fashion and expressing their personality through their clothes, which was a joy to see.

Scotland also has a large amount of creative talent which has recently been highlighted by the likes of fashion designers William Chambers, Rachel Barrett and my personal favourite Holly Fulton, who has recently shown at London Fashion Week.

Vogue.com has reported this week that these designers are among many that have been chosen to exhibit their work at Textile Scotland, which aims at highlighting emerging Scottish talent. The designers will be joined by 40 leading textile manufacturers at London’s Institute of Contemporary Arts on October 14th. For more info click the link below-
