Chalayan is to also reveal another project, an installation at Lisson Gallery in London. Chalayan new installation named ‘I Am Sad Leyla’ which is inspired from his Turkish heritage includes elements of audio, film, sculpture and fashion references. The Central Saint Martin’s graduate explains that his new installation is like ‘‘a “stripped-down show”, not overtly related to his fashion work, but not without its visual moments either. It is almost as if each moment should be enjoyed like a piece of jewellery’’.
